Natural Beauty Remedies

1. Brighten your smile with strawberries and baking soda.

Not only can you clean your coffee-stained mugs with baking soda, but you can also clean your stained teeth. Crest Whitestrips also work, but the chemicals are bad for your health and these cost quite a bit of money. Strawberries contain a whitening agent called, Malic Acid. This acts like an astringent to remove surface stains from your teeth.

Directions: Crush one or two strawberries to a pulp, then mix with a tablespoon of baking soda until blended. Spread the mixture on your teeth with a toothbrush. Leave on for about five minutes, then brush with toothpaste to remove the mix. Rinse and floss out the strawberry seeds. This beauty remedy should be done once a week.

2. Use coffee to boost brunette hair color.

Mix ground coffee beans (used or fresh will work) in with your conditioner. Not only will the brown color be more intense looking, it will also smell like coffee.

3. Extend your perfume by applying Vaseline or Olive Oil first.

Rub a thin layer of Vaseline or Olive Oil on your skin. Then apply the perfume. The oiliness on the skin will help the perfume to dissipate more slowly.

I don’t think any of these solutions will work if you don’t sharpen or scratch your mole first, applying something directly to your mole seems quite pointless.

Body wrap

It’s possible to make an anti-cellulite wrap even at home. Mix 2 tbsp of ground ginger, 5 tbsp of cosmetic clay, and 10 tbsp of warm water together. Apply the mix to the problem areas (belly, sides, hips, arms), and wrap them with plastic wrap. Leave it all like this for an hour, then unwrap yourself and take a warm shower. Do this once a week.

Here are the best natural home remedies for skin lightening:

1. YOGURT

What you need:

1 cup homemade yogurt or curd, juice of half a lemon, a teaspoon of sugar

How to prepare:

In a china bowl add the three to form an even mixture, do not dissolve the sugar grains.

How to apply:

We wouldn’t encourage use of a brush. We suggest you apply this mixture with the tips of your four fingers on your face in circular motions. Continue massaging in circular motions for five minutes. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash under running water.

Why this works:

Curd is rich in anti-oxidants and lemon juice is rich in vitamin C. They work wonderfully as naturally bleaching the skin.

Things to remember:

Don’t keep for more than 20 minutes, as the citric acid in lemon might cause irritation. Don’t apply lemon of broken skin.

2. ORANGES:

What you need:

Few cloves of oranges, cotton pads and that’s all

How to prepare:

Squish these orange cloves on a china bowl and try to make a paste out of it.

How to apply:

Put your cotton pad on the orange juice and let it soak up some of this juice. Dab this cotton all over your face, neck and hands. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash off with cold water.

Why this works:

Just like lemon, Orange too is rich in Vitamin C, it helps in fighting sun tan and acts as a natural bleach.

Things to remember:

Make sure you are not dabbing the orange juice directly on acne or broken skin.

3. GRAM FLOUR:

Things To Consider

Before resorting to any chemical treatment, be it soaps, creams or pills, you must take into consideration the natural synthetics of your skin and if you are already under some kind of medication. The pills or creams might require usage for a certain period of time and you must be prepared to commit to the entire duration.

Precautions

Do take note of the ingredients and take an allergy test for chemicals that may raise doubts. We would always recommend a discussion with a doctor before you sign up for the oral pills.

¼ cup shea butter

2 traveling tins, washed and dried
10 drops favorite essential oil (any essential oils)

Instructions

In a double boiler, over medium-high heat, place the shea butter, nourishing oil, and beeswax. Bring the water underneath to a boil. The ingredients will melt, stir every few minutes to help the melting process. This process takes about 5-7 minutes.Once melted, remove the bowl from the heat. If you plan to use an essential oil, add the drops now and stir. Pour the liquid into two traveling tins.

Store the lotion at room temperature for up to 12 months.

1 tsp vitamin E oil

6 drops lavender essential oiland/or essential tea tree oil

Instructions

Combine the coconut oil, vitamin E, tea tree oil or lavender in a bowl. Now mix. That's it.
