GCF Learn Free – Typing: Our learners ask for typing help more than anything else—and we haven’t found many free resources worth recommending. So we decided to create our own. Because the process of learning to type can be discouraging, we explored a coaching model that includes supportive feedback—and because everyone learns differently, we built in the option to tone it down or turn it off. We built the entire project in HTML5, which made this tutorial a learning experience for us too.
Rapid Typing: This program supports many different languages and keyboard types. Touch typing improves typing speed and accuracy. A touch typist never looks at the keyboard. The fingers hit the right keys by force of habit. The typist is entirely focused on the text being typed, reading the words and phrases as the fingers type the text reflexively. Touch typing can be learned by performing special exercises. Typing Tutor, Typing Games, Typing Freeware, Typing Technique, Typing Test
Keybr: Unlike much of the teaching typing software available out there, Keybr.com does not force you to type random characters over and over again; that is simply boring and contributes very little to your learning. Instead, Keybr.com generates readable random words using the phonetic rules of your native language. Touch typing is the ability to use muscle memory to find keys fast, without using the sense of sight, and with all the available fingers, just like piano players do. It significantly improves typing speed and eliminates errors. Touch typing simply makes you more productive and it is a skill worth learning.
